Reconstituted storage. Once bacteriostatic water is added, most peptides
hold roughly 28 days refrigerated at 2–8 °C, protected from light and
never frozen. Actual stability varies by compound, concentration and handling — verify
against the data for the material in hand.
How to reconstitute — research technique
- Wipe both vial stoppers with an alcohol swab and let them dry.
- Draw your measured bacteriostatic water into the syringe.
- Insert the needle at an angle and let the water run slowly down the inner glass wall — not straight onto the powder.
- Swirl gently to dissolve. Do not shake — agitation can damage fragile peptides.
- Wait until the solution is fully clear before drawing a sample.
- Store the reconstituted vial refrigerated (2–8 °C), out of light, and never frozen.
Unit Converter
Quick conversions between mL, mg, µL, and mcg.
µL ↔ mL and mg ↔ mcg are exact metric conversions.
mL ↔ mg assumes water density (1 mL ≈ 1000 mg) — for actual peptide strength, use the reconstitution calculator above.
Calculations assume a standard U-100 insulin syringe (100 units = 1 mL).
One unit on the barrel equals 0.01 mL.
